She met Tarek El Moussa while working in the industry of real estate. Tarek El Moussa, and Christina El Moussa, lost almost everything as a consequence of the 2008 stock market collapse. They had to move from an expensive home where they were paying $6,000 per month to a smaller house that was only $700. They slowly rebuilt their company and economy. HGTV and Rise to Fame In 2011 Tarek requested a colleague to assist him in creating an HGTV audition tape that showed him and Christina flipping a house from the beginning to the end. Pie Town Productions' executives got hold of the tape. The couple fell in love Tarek as well as Christina. The deal was agreed by the couple and HGTV. Then, in April of 2013 "Flip of Flop", a reality show, premiered. For seven seasons, the show ran from 2013 until 2017. The show featured Christina and Tarek purchasing properties in Orange County.
